    This has been bugging me for a bit, and I'd like to know if there's an explanation to it - Do some cars from the 1978 era have a lower set chance of appearing than cars that commonly do? Or is it all randomized by luck?

    It just occured to me when driving around in 2006. For example, cars that did spawn commonly in 1978 (Rhapsody, Regina, Fairview, Cerva, Wayfarer Pangaea) tend to spawn more, while cars that spawned less commonly (Grand Valley, Rosalita, Namorra) or rarely (Raven, Mezzianno) don't seem to spawn that often without driving one. Kind of makes me wonder if these cars have set individual chances of appearing. It would make sense in real life, however.

    Title says it all. Comment your favourite cars of both eras. Design, performance, and the like come into play here.

    As an example, here's some of mine. My preference goes towards luxury cars and cars that have a mediocre top speed. I'm not exactly a fast person.... except there's that time where i like one or two fast cars.

    Vehicle top speeds

    July 7, 2016 by Davazz

    Hello folks, I wanted to share some knowledge about engine upgrades in Driver:PL with you. Be warned, a lot of maths is involved, so I hope you understand :P

    In the game directory is a file called 'VVars.txt'. It is located in the map 'Vehicles'. I'll paste some of its content here.

    Engine stage 1 Engine stage 2 Engine stage 3
    topspeed +0.1 topspeed +0.1 topspeed +0.05

    As you can see, the stage 1 and stage 2 engine add 0.1 (=10%) to the top speed, and the stage 3 engine adds 0.05 (=5%).

    With this knowledge we can set up a mathematical formula to calculate a cars top speed for a vehicle with a stage 1 of 2 engine (if you know the exact top speed of the default vehicle)...

    vtop = vstock x 1.1n

    In which:

    vtop stands for the top speed;

    vstock stands for t…
